Motivation vs. Discipline

“You will never always be motivated…..so you must learn to be disciplined”

Motivation will be there at the beginning, but you are in this for the long haul, and motivation won't always be there. You won't want to workout all the times on the days you are scheduled and that is where discipline comes in.

Discipline will help you reach your goals NOT motivation.

Motivation comes from the natural human drive to achieve something.

Discipline is the ability to continue pushing in the right direction even after that natural drive is gone.

You will never always be motivated, and that is where discipline comes in. It is the discipline and habits you create that'll get you to your goals.

Motivation is what helps you get started on your health and fitness goal. Disclipline is what keeps you going on your journey.

Motivation will fade because you will eventually stop seeing fast results, and shit sometimes sitting on the couch binging netflixs is more fun than going to the gym. It happens to me sometimes and I train people for a living! You know why?!? Because we are all human and sometimes we don't want to do things!

But you know what!?! Those are the days when you need to get up, put on a cute gym outfit, throw your hair in a bun, grab your gym bag and some caffine and get your butt to the gym!

Here are somethings I do that help me stay disciplined on my life health and fitness journy

1. I schedule my time to workout. Each week I ususally workout the same days and times. It is part of my routine and written in my planner, so I am more inclined to follow through.

So workout at a time that is easy for you and write it down in your planner or on your calendar!

2. Plan head. I have my workout written before I go to the gym so I know what I am doing that day and the equipment I will need.

write you workout out in a note book, on or phone or an app. It allows for you to have a great workout and track your progress.

3. Remember your goals. I write my goals in my planner so I can visually see it when I am having a down day and not feeling like doing anything. It helps you remember why you are on this journey

Write it down in your planner, on your phone, your fridge or even you mirror. Put it somewhere to give you a daily reminder. This is a planner I bought on Amazon. It is great, you write down your goals for the begining of the year and review them to make sure what you do on the day to day helps you reach your goals.

4. Dont forget to rest. You are not meant to workout 7 days a week hardcore. Your body recovers when it is resting! So rest at least 2 days a week and have good quality sleep for at least 8 hours a night.

O and when I say rest day, I don't mean lay on the couch all day eating and not doing anyting. Go for a light walk or a light stretching yoga session. Movement is your friend.

5. Last but not least. Wear come cute clothes. Nothing makes you feel better about yourself and puts you in a happy place than wearing something that makes you feel sexy and confindent about your body!!

So wear those shorts and crop tops and rock in at the gym!!

As always I am here to help inspire you to workout because you love your body and to enjoy your journey!!

Keep your head up. You’ve got this!
